Our Services
24 Hour walk-in emergency consultations.
Full in-house blood work allowing for rapid interpretation of results.
In-house digital radiology with access to specialist interpretation.
In-house ultrasound offering both in and out-patient scans from the team at Perth Animal Ultrasound.
CT, both outpatient and inpatient. Interpreted by a specialist.
Endoscopy, allowing for both gastric imaging, foreign body removal and biopsies.
Both soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery inclusive of fracture repair and TPLO.
Purpose-built ICU facilities inclusive of mechanical ventilation.
Meet the Team

Dr Jackie
Jackie is passionate about emergency medicine and surgery, having completed her veterinary degree at Murdoch University and her Graduate Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care through the University of Melbourne. For the past six years, she has managed a busy emergency hospital, where she also worked as an emergency vet before starting Port City. Her career began in medical research, where she was completing her PhD in infectious diseases before transferring to Murdoch to complete her veterinary degree. She has a very boisterous dog named Nala, a Geraldton special she adopted while working there. She also has a cat named Lady Blanche Forrester, whom she adopted at her previous job.

Dr Sam
Meet Sam, with a passion for providing emergency care, he thrives in the fast-paced environment of emergency veterinary medicine. He completed an Emergency and Critical Care internship at an emergency hospital and has undertaken extensive continuing education in emergency and critical care. Before starting Port City, he spent the last 5 years at one of Perth's premier veterinary emergency centres. Outside of his demanding work, Sam finds joy in fostering kittens, offering them a loving temporary home until they find their forever families. His expertise, combined with his compassionate nature, makes Dr. Jameson an invaluable asset to our community and a trusted caregiver for your beloved pets.

Dr Sam
Sam graduated from Murdoch University in 2007. He then worked in various small animal general practices in Western Australia and New South Wales. Sam owned a successful small animal practice in Sydney for 7 years, before relocating back to Perth. He has worked in emergency and critical care since 2017. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge in treating and managing small animal emergency and critical care cases. He resides in Perth with his two cats, wife and two kids, not necessarily in that order.

Dr Holly
Dr. Holly is an invaluable member of our team at Port City Emergency Vets. With her memberships in Emergency and Critical Care and over 10 years of experience in emergency, Holly is fully equipped for the fast-paced demands of emergency medicine. She also oversees our in-house blood bank, ensuring we’re always prepared to support pets in critical need.
Before joining us, Holly managed a bustling emergency hospital in the north of the city, gaining expertise and a deep commitment to helping pets in urgent situations. Outside of work, Holly loves spending time with her husband, two kids, and their ginormous dog, Spud.

Dr Lacey
Graduating with a Bachelor of Science and a bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery in 2017, Lacey has developed a broad interest in all areas of veterinary practice, with a special focus on medicine, ophthalmology, and soft tissue surgery. Lacey’s career has taken her through a variety of veterinary settings, including mixed rural practice, general small animal practice, emergency medicine, and surgery, which has allowed her to gain valuable experience in different aspects of animal care.
Outside of work, Lacey enjoys spending time outdoors, travelling and prioritising a fit and healthy lifestyle, which keeps her energised and focused so she can continue to provide the best possible care for her patients.

Dr Keely
Keely is the senior Veterinary Surgeon at Port City Emergency Vets , bringing in a vast range of experience in veterinary care. Keely developed an immediate passion for surgery and pursued further training and education to be able to perform orthopaedic surgery, as well as more advanced soft tissue surgeries. Keely graduated from Murdoch University . Keely has passed the small animal surgery membership exams to become a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Medicine. Committed to providing compassionate care, Keely focuses on creating a supportive environment for pets and their owners. Outside of work Keely loves to travel, stay active and hang out with her golden retriever, Maeve!

Dr. Curtis
Dr. Curtis is an experienced veterinarian with memberships in medicine and a passion for tackling complex medical cases. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the team and is always happy to lend his expertise on tricky cases. Curtis also loves the fast-paced nature of emergency work and thrives in the dynamic environment of our hospital.
Known for his great sense of humour and friendly nature, Curtis makes every shift a joy to be part of. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his young son and family.

Tenille RVN - Head of CT dept
Tenille is a dedicated veterinary nurse with 10 years of experience and a deep passion for animal care. She plays a key role in our hospital as the lead of our CT department, where her attention to detail and technical expertise ensure every scan is performed to the highest standard.
Outside of her work in imaging, Tenille loves fostering kittens and caring for neonates. When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll often find her relaxing at the beach. At home, she’s lovingly accompanied by her three furry companions — her cats, Perri and Birdie, and her chihuahua, Rudy.

Emily RVN- Practice Manager
Emily is our Practice Manager and the driving force behind the smooth running of our hospital. With 10 years of experience in emergency veterinary nursing, she brings a wealth of clinical knowledge, strong leadership, and unwavering dedication to her team and patients. Emily oversees all aspects of hospital operations, ensuring our staff, clients, and patients receive the very best care and support every day.
A lifelong animal lover, Emily has fostered many kittens over the years — including her beloved “foster fail,” Oscar (the Grouch), who was rescued after being found in a bin and quickly stole her heart. Outside of work, Emily enjoys reading, being outdoors, and spending time with Oscar.

Claudia RVN - Head of Surgery Dept
Claudia has been working as a veterinary nurse for over 8 years and has gained experience across many areas of veterinary medicine. Her career began in the red dirt up north and has taken her all the way to Melbourne before returning to Perth, where she’s proud to call home.
Claudia runs our surgery department and keeps everything in tip-top shape. Her true passion lies in surgical nursing — she’s meticulous, organised, and deeply dedicated to patient care in the operating theatre. Outside of work, Claudia enjoys running, swimming, and reading.

Lauren - Head Receptionist
Lauren is the heart of our front desk and the powerhouse behind the smooth running of our hospital. With over 20 years of experience in emergency triage, she brings incredible skill, calm, and leadership to every shift. Lauren also manages our social media, keeping our community connected and informed.
At home, she’s kept busy by her two French Bulldogs, Lola and Kevin, and her two rescue cats. When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find Lauren in the kitchen cooking up something delicious, spending time with her family, or hunting for unique vintage treasures for her home.

Sylvia RVN - Head Nurse
Sylvia is our Head Nurse and an integral part of the Port City team. With over 15 years of experience and a strong passion for emergency nursing, she plays a vital role in keeping the hospital — and the team — running smoothly. Her calm leadership, clinical expertise, and dedication to patient care make her a cornerstone of our hospital.
Outside of work, Sylvia enjoys Pilates, spending time with her fiancé (soon to be husband), and relaxing with her beautiful Golden Retriever, Lacey.

Aislinn RVN
Ash is an experienced emergency and critical care nurse with a passion for fast-paced, high-stakes medicine. She has a special interest in blood donations and plays a key role in managing our blood bank. Her greyhound, Birtie, is also a proud blood donor!
Ash has worked in several emergency centres and brings a wealth of experience and calm confidence to every shift. Outside of work, she loves to relax with her crochet projects — often with Birtie curled up beside her.

Laura- Lee RVN
Laura-Lee is a highly experienced veterinary nurse with over 10 years in the profession. She’s known for her dedication, hard work, and commitment to providing gold-standard patient care. With a special love for pocket pets — including birds, rabbits, and other small animals — and a deep passion for wildlife, Laura-Lee brings exceptional skill and compassion to every patient she treats.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé and making the most of her downtime after busy days caring for animals.

Candy RVN
Candy is a compassionate and experienced veterinary nurse who has spent many years working in emergency care. She has a special love for cats and a natural ability to make every patient feel calm and comfortable during their stay. Candy goes the extra mile to create a soothing environment in our hospital — often playing soft music or putting on TV for our patients to help them feel at ease.
At home, Candy is surrounded by her beloved cats, who are very much the centre of her world. Her kindness, experience, and gentle touch make her a cherished member of the Port City team.

Felicity - Receptionist
Felicity is one of our amazing receptionists and a third-year veterinary student with endless energy and enthusiasm. She’s incredibly hardworking and passionate about every patient who comes through our doors. Whether she’s greeting clients, lending a hand to the team, or keeping the clinic sparkling, Felicity is always on the move and giving 110%.
Outside of the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Mindy, and relaxing in her garden — her happy place after a busy day at work and study.
